Net Easy delivers discount for Endian UTM

Net Easy is pleased to announce that Net Easy has been able to negotiate a discount for educational institutions and non-profit organizations for a new product to the US market.  This software incorporates a custom management platform that allows for simplified configuration, deployment and management of the various Open Source software products that Net Easy uses for network management. 

Net Easy has been using Open Source (FREE) Linux/Unix based solutions for years to do its routing, fire-walling, web filtering, intrusion detection, spam filtering, anti-virus filtering, VPN, high-availability, BGP, etc., etc., etc. services.  This presents a huge cost savings to our clients compared to products like Cisco, SonicWall, Watchguard, Barracuda, Microsoft, etc.  

Net Easy often achieves even further savings by installing the software on standard computers specified for the goals instead of the manufacturers fabricated equipment.  During the last few years hardware has improved to allow virtualization of these layers as well.  Thus, Net Easy has been able to virtualize the various servers (file server, Windows Domain Controllers, etc.) into one physical layer (computer) which reduces the hardware, maintenance and power consumption costs.  

The Endian Unified Threat Management (UTM) product brings further cost savings to our clients in that it reduces Net Easy labor costs required to configure and support various custom built solutions.  Endian UTM software incorporates many of the software products Net Easy uses now and provides a faster method to configure and manage the various software products we employ for our clients.

A new cost savings being introduced in 2010 shall result from the internal staffs' ability to do simple network modifications via the user interface.  Internal staff can be trained to do certain functions to the network without advanced command line skills.  This reduces the labor expenses for many reasons such as outside vendors. For example, the creation of VPN keys along with the local client software product can be taught to users for management of staffs' remote connections.  

Many people are looking for a product that is cost effective but can serve to filter their malware, spyware, spam, do web content filtering, etc. from the Internet.  This product can achieve this and offers even more benefits for clients operating local e-mail servers (particularly MS Exchange).  It can be configured to act as a secondary MX record so that regular maintenance can be performed on the mail server without losing or bouncing e-mail.
