Linux/Unix Admin

System Administrator Candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining all Network/System functions for a multi-office and multi-state operation. Qualified candidate will possess 3+ years of Network/System Engineering experience. Proficient in UNIX (SCO,Linux,HP-UX) in configuration, Shell scripting, hardware assembly, and network protocols and the ability to set up VPN's/Wans/Lans. An understanding of NT, 2000 and other Microsoft applications is desirable. Position duties include but not limited to:

• Update and Resolve Trouble tickets
• Work with DBA for database issues
• Perform/Validate backups and restores
• Hardware troubleshooting
• Submit and follow through Change Control.
• Patch Installs
• Printer/X-terminal Support
• May be asked to assist with PC and Networking activities
• Scripting with Python, PHP, and Shell
• Java development.
• Experience with JBoss, Zope, Apache, DNS, Firewall.
